Bad Cops + Facts = Good Settlement!

We represent a young man who was foolish enough to flee a police stop. However, he did, and when the cops got him, he did not resist. What happened next was shocking – he was clubbed about the face and head, and all of it was captured on video, albeit not of the best quality.

The client had poor memory about the incident, and so far has been unable to assist prosecutors who are looking at the cops for potential prosecution. This poor recollection could make him look bad, even though he offered no resistance, and was beaten pretty good. His inability to recall details could cut two ways – either he was a fibber, or he was beaten so bad he could not recall.

Thankfully, he healed fairly quickly, and before the city could disclaim coverage for the cops, the matter resolved in a handshake deal with the head city solicitor. The client now has two hundred thousand reasons to look forward to a brighter future.
